Minute 01
Skin first.
Before hair, before recovery, before anything we make next, there is skin: the organ everyone sees and most of us are quietly hard on. Aeterna began as a face mask, and skin is still the first question we ask of every idea.
Our philosophy
At Vexaco we believe skincare should support the body’s natural processes, not disrupt them. Everything else we believe fits inside one ten-minute session. The clock keeps time as you read.

Minute 02
Red light therapy doesn’t burn, peel or resurface. It works by a quieter signal: specific wavelengths that cells are thought to absorb and respond to. No downtime, no recovery face, nothing to hide the next morning.
Minute 03
Ten minutes, three to five times a week, does more than an hour once a month. Light follows a dose curve, and past a certain point more gives you less. So every session ends on its own, on purpose.
Minute 04
We choose light by where it goes, not by how bright it looks: 415 nm for the surface, 630–660 nm for the dermis, 830–850 nm for what lies beneath. A bigger number on the box is not a better treatment.
See how deep each one goes
Minute 05
The Aeterna mask is FDA 510(k) cleared. We say cleared because that is the FDA’s word, and we won’t borrow a bigger one. The same care goes into every other sentence we write.
House rules
A short list we keep by the desk. Every word on the left would sell more. None of them would be true.
Minute 06
Everything we claim is written up in The Science: what the studies found, what they didn’t, and where the evidence is still young. When a finding is early, we say so in the first line, not the footnote.

A device you dread is a device you don’t use. So the mask is cordless, light and soft where it touches you, and it asks for nothing but ten minutes. We design for the fortieth session, not the first.
Minute 08
Put it on. Press start. Do nothing. For ten minutes nobody needs an answer from you, and that may be the most luxurious part of all.

Minute 09
We come from Calgary, the sunniest of Canada’s large cities, where June evenings run late and December light is short and precious. We think about light the way people here think about weather: constantly, and with respect.
Today in Calgary
Calgary averages 2,396 hours of bright sunshine a year, more than any other large Canadian city. Here is today’s share, worked out live for our home town.
Sunshine figure: Environment Canada climate normals, 1981–2010.
Minute 10
Firmness is measured in months, not mornings. We would rather give you a steady change that stays than a quick one you have to chase. Consistency is the whole secret, and it isn’t much of a secret.
